Yesterday, at InternetWorld’s yearly competition for the Top 100 Best Swedish Websites, we were ranked 56th in a list of some truly amazing websites. Despite a drop of 16 places from last year, being named in the Top 100 in Sweden is a big achievement for us and we are proud to be listed. And considering we’ve just launched a re-design of the website, we hope we’ll place a bit higher next year.
However, today there is even more reason to celebrate. InternetWorld asked Sökmotorkonsult.se to investigate and analyze which of the Top 100 websites were best in terms of being search engine optimized (SEO).
And we’re excited to announce that MyNewsdesk.com was awarded the top spot!
Sökmotorkonsult.se, headed by Magnus Bråth, Kristofer Hilarius, and Michael Wahlgren, reviewed, dissected, and scrutinized each of InternetWorld’s Top 100 websites from an SEO perspective, using the following 4 criteria to determine the Top 10 and eventual winner:
- Visibility in search results
- How the search engine’s potential is applied
- Content and structure of the website
- In-links to the website
According to Michael Wahlgren, “MyNewsdesk.com has created something that all those that work with SEO dream about: a self-perpetuating SEO machine. Here, the website’s users publish well-written press releases that attract inlinks and are shared through Twitter. The results is that MyNewsdesk ends up on search results for quite a few company names or branded keywords, potentially leading to attracting even more customers.”
“On top of that, MyNewsdesk doesn’t just use its high-ranking position in search results for themselves, but it also spreads the wealth to their clients. Therefore, MyNewsdesk is the worthy winner of our competition.”
We’re proud that MyNewsdesk.com has developed into a well-structured and effective service for our clients to streamline their PR and Marketing work. Communicators that use MyNewsdesk.com not only see their newsflashes shared with their intended audience, but they also see their press material optimized for search engines.
And today MyNewsdesk received what all of us that work with websites dream about: praise and acknowledgment from arguably the best SEO agency in Sweden!
